Beta terms

Version 20 October 2026

In short

  • It’s a free test service, and access can be changed or withdrawn at any time.
  • Anything in the beta, including your designs and your account, can be deleted at any time.
  • You’re responsible for keeping your own copies of your work.
  • It comes with no warranties of any kind, and you use it entirely at your own risk.

What this is

The KPD Studio beta is a free, closed test service run by Chris Judd so that invited people can try KPD and give feedback. It is not a finished product and is not offered for commercial use.

Your access

Access is by invitation. Chris can change, suspend or end your access, or the whole beta, at any time and without notice or reason.

Keep your username and password to yourself: they’re yours alone.

Your data

Anything held in the beta can be changed or deleted at any time, including your account and everything in the shared repository. The repository may be reset between beta rounds.

The repository is shared: every tester can see, change and delete what’s in it.

You are responsible for your own backups. Export anything you want to keep, and keep your own copy.

Don’t put confidential information, client work or credentials into the beta. KPD never needs credentials to do its job.

No warranties

The beta is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied. That includes, without limit, any warranty of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy (including of any generated Terraform or designs), availability or freedom from errors.

Check anything KPD produces before you rely on it or run it.

Your risk

You use the beta entirely at your own risk. As far as the law allows, Chris Judd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it, or from being unable to use it, including loss of data, work, time or profit.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and contact

These terms may change. If they change in a way that matters, you’ll be asked to agree again or told when you next sign in.

KPD is an independent tool and is not made, endorsed or supported by Confluent, Inc.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
